I really think that these guys were so under rated. What got played on the radio in most markets didn't even touch what the band was really about. The writing. The Musicianship. The vocals harmonies. Rhythm madness. My band had the pleasure of opening for Kansas back in'01 in Charlotte,N.C. and not even halfway through the show it started pouring down rain. But what I did hear was nothing short of perfection. I really dig the lyrics. But Lyrically speaking, "The Wall" and "Miracles out of Nowhere" are just heavy tunes. Livgren wrote some really deep stuff. I've seen them several times. He goes into what and how he was thinking when he wrote a lot of his music. Infact, we ran up quite a tab for Sushi in SanFran one night about 10 years ago. Really nice guy. Very talented.
