Strong statement and example how a song can cuts both sides: and as RELEVANT in both sides! I really hope I will be able to play Bonnie or dance and sing at that age, or simple ....can still be me! Paul TBO |

Paul, that was great. I really love the old lady doing the windmill on the guitar. Rich |

Spider Ollie should see this! And Brother Mike who's Wife was Decaptivated! I am disappointed about the bass but if I am well informed John could have been playing that on an old Fender! Paul TBO The man singing is 90 (ninety) for crying out loud! Love that man! |

That was great! Reminds me of an old Harry Nilsson song "I'd Rather Be Dead" recorded with a senior citizen chorus. Here's a link to a youtube video on the making. The song starts at about 6:30 in. Old people rock! Bill, tgo |

very funny, although I didn't like the bass solo much, why deviate from entwistle's fantastic original? |

One of this month's UK's guitar mags (Guitar World?) has a top 10 things-you-should-know-about-JE. He started the recording session for My Generation on a Danelectro, and broke it. He then went out and bought three basses just to be on the safe side. The final cut was done on a Precision. Now here's the rub: legend has it that the earlier solos were a lot more elaborate than the one we all know and love. |

Not quite. It's the Jazz 'axe' bass that he played in the movie 'Tommy' Although it had received a new neck with bound headstock by 1971... graeme (Message edited by jacko on May 31, 2007) |
