Stanley Clarke will be playing the Magic Bag in Ferndale (Detroit) MI on April 8th. I've been in touch with his manager and will likely have an opportunity to meet with him after the concert. Brother James, the effects and the amp/cabintes set-up are fully described in the Bass-player interview (if I remember well). I know one of the club-members was "beaten-up" by fellow-bassplayers on another bass site because he mentioned that the SC-sound was based on his Alembic. (I realised than that we have a peacefull board here). So I wonder how he is into "brands"? I also heard the story that his electric playing (right hand) was strongly influenced by playing upright (specifically the position of his right hand vesrus the neck) Just my two cents.
