Look familiar? I just gave in last night on ebay. This will be my third Wishbass, I can't wait to fondle her. The neck lams are walnut, purpleheart, and maple, and the body is an ambrosia maple sandwich. The fretboard is wenge. I just love this guy Wishnevsky.

WOW! Way over my head, but cool to look at. First one I've seen.

Congrats, you have to be the only kid on the block with one of these bad boys.

"Usual wishbass comments apply."

And are those comments appreciative or snide? I'll never understand why he draws such harsh reactions in some circles. It's not like he promises a Ferrari and delivers a Honda, he promises a Honda, delivers a Honda, and charges the price of a Schwinn. Not everyone can own multiple Alembics........

I have heard comments about his instruments too. I have never held one or seen one in person. But from all the pics, they look nice! I think for the price of these, they are quite a bargain! The fact that you own 3 of them should say something. I was thinking about ordering one a few years ago but my priorities were changed due to weather conditions.

James,

It was a snide remark, but more of a meta-remark.

A tongue-in-cheek analysis of discussions had in other venues. :-) To be really, really clear: I'm not bagging on them, just making a comment about the comments that get made other places.

I'll probably buy one, one of these days. After I finish my rig-of-doom. The Spousal Approval Index is currently worse than the Carter Administration.

The Hyper, in white (no finish, since his finish jobs aren't my cup of tea) is the one I want.

I have heard that they actually sound really good.

Elwood, your profile doesn't have your email. Since you can't post audio files to this forum, I will gladly email you some stuff I just recorded for demonstration purposes. Unfortunately these MP3's will expose me for the hack that I am, but what the hell, just be gentle with me. You can find my email in my profile. Bradley, same offer to you if you are interested, or anyone else for that matter. Bradley, I whole heartedly agree, order from Wish directly and do your own finish. I would even send him the pickup of your choice for him to install. Peace gentlemen. JBY
