I've seen the various bits of live performance footage on YouTube, and was wondering if this is commercially available anywhere (I'm a bit old school and prefer to watch stuff on the tv!). A while back there were various ebay sellers selling dvds of what I assume were the same performances, but they all seem to have disappeared (copyright issues?). Anyone know where I can get hold of this footage?

Id love to get hold of some too.
I did get a 1970's looking Stanley Clarke DVD off a guy off ebay but he described it as a new shrink wrapped DVD and it actually wasn't. I looked like a copy off the tv. Quality wasn't that good but good enough to watch and listen too.. and laugh at the clothes.

I downloaded a load of the footage from ebay of RTF gigs and burned them onto CD somewhere. I'd be quite happy to send you a copy if you like.

The guy selling the dvd's was from Liverpool.

Please share the news if you find one.

Hey Jazzyvee, how did you download the stuff? I've tried to find out how to download from Youtube, but although I knew someone who had the software to do it it wasn't Mac compatible so I couldn't use it. I could really do with those dvds becoming available again. That'd be really cool if you could send a copy of the cd though. Feel free to e-mail me at the address on my profile. Cheers!

Mac OS?

In Safari open the "Activity" window, look for the largest file (in this example: http://v164.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=lFP-alYNq5I), double click on same to DL.

When the download is over, navigate to the file in the Finder (which will probably be called get_video) and add the extension .flv

Play it with VLC or with QuickTime (only if you have Perian <http://perian.org/> installed).

Flip4MacWMV is also a helpful utility to have on hand.

Enjoy!

This is what I use to download the you tube video's
copy and paste the link in to the box on this site then press the download button.

http://www.techcrunch.com/get-youtube-movie/

If like me you are a mac user then dowload
ISquint from here
http://www.isquint.org/

and you can convert the video footage to a format for computer, ipod or tv.

It works great.

Thanks Newuser & Jazzyvee, that's great!!! I'll have a go at weekend. I am, I'm afraid to say, not much good with computers, but hopefully I'll be able to manage this.
