Concord will release Marcus Miller’s new album, Marcus, March 4, 2008. Marcus' seventh solo release includes guest appearances by Corinne Bailey Rae, Lalah Hathaway, Keb' Mo' and others. The 13-track funk-jazz album will feature covers of Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground," Miles Davis' "Jean Pierre" and "What is Hip?" from Tower of Power. Corinne Bailey Rae sings Deniece Williams’ "Free."

Driving to work a couple of weeks ago, and TOP, "What is Hip" came up on the iPod. Still a mind blowing track.

I'm as confused as Jazzy. All those tracks are on his 'Free' album released earlier this year and distributed by Dreyfuss Jazz.
Full track listing is..
Blast
Funk Joint
Free
Strum
Milky way
Pluck
When I fall in love
Jean Pierre
Higher Ground
What is Hip

Wonder what the extra 3 tracks will be, unless it's a new compilation album - I think there's already a greatest hits album out. A new live album and / or a new live DVD would be fun.

I found the info Craig posted above at Downbeat dated 12/12/07. Nothing else was mentioned. I went to concordmusicgroup.com and found nothing there about the album. "Free" was released by Sony BMG on 06/25/07.

But I've just found the answer looking through Marcus' website. The Concord release is the US release. Apparently, the Sony release was Europe and Japan.
