F-X1 or F-2B?

I'm wondering whether to get a tube pre-amp one-day. What are the prros & cons of the mono-vs-stereo Alembic preamps??? Any thoughts anyone? Thanks, Mark England. The F-1X has a single tube state; the F-2B has two tube stages. F-1X sounds "cleaner"; the F-2B sound "tubier". - The F-1X has an effects send and return. - The F-1X has an active crossover. - The F-1X has a direct out. - The F-1X has a "deep" switch. - The F-2B has two channels.
