Is this a good idea? I'm planning on doing a major bass & guitar maintenance day on January 1st.

I've heard that bore oil for clarinets is a better choice.

I use lemon oil on both ebony and rosewood fingerboards. Personally I'd stay away from bore oil. Mica says lemon, and the other sounds boring.
