As some of you already know my wife and I lost our 14 year old Lhasa Apso in Jan. '07 and our 13 year old mix breed this past Nov. The pet owners/lovers here will appreciate how difficult that was. Yesterday we brought home the newest member of the family. Meet Saoirse, a three month old Lhasa.

Congrats! There's nothing like the smell of damp training pads early in the morning (LOL).
We also recently lost our 17.5 year old Bichon Frise, who was very dear to us. And like you, there's a new addition on the way which we will be receiving on March 1st.

Good luck with Saoirse.

Here's picture of Lacey, at 6-weeks old. She's a Havenese. I'm counting the days...

A percussionist that I jam with from time to time has two Lhasas; one is black with white splotches, the other is white with black splotches (I still can't tell the difference). Adorable, attentive, and do they just love getting into trouble. I spend at least 30 minutes with his dogs every time we get together.

I think I've already said what I think Sam.
Just want to cuddle her.
A wonderful creature.
A bowl of food, a hug, and a few belly rubs, and the creature would literally die for you.

Suppose if someone fed me and rubbed my fat belly, I'd do the same
LOL

congrats, Sam, here's wishing you all the best with the new family member Saoirse. She will grow up very quickly, I am sure...

We lost our beloved Collie dog "Lady Silva" at the age of forteen, in March last year and decided not to have a pet in our house again, it hurt so much. Silva may live forever in our hearts (and in my profile, LOL).

However, in November last year, Gina of Shiba Island entered into our life, and sure we could not be happier...

Enjoy, Sam, and play her... ahem, umm, play with her in good health !

Hey George I'll be glad to have a pint with you on vacation but I'm not rubbing your belly, Mate.

Last night she slept most of the time, didn't eat or drink. She's gotten over that. Jumping, running, biting, licking, we've all bonded quite nicely. She's taken to housetraining like a pro as well. What a blessing. All day at work I was watching the clock wishing I could be home. Thanks for all the kind words. Now I'm going to go play. :-)
