If you've heard of the famous game "Guitar Hero" It's pretty easy once you get used to playing it, but some people think that because they can play guitar hero, they're the gods of rock and they can easily master a real guitar (or bass). It's very annoying. "Dude, check it out! I'm so awesome! I can play Through the Fire and Flames on expert!" "yeah, but can you do it on a real Guitar?" "Well, um..... no." "Then shut up because that means you don't really have any musical talent because it's just a stupid plastic controller!" It probably does demonstrate a level of raw talent which could be applied to learning the guitar (if they'd get off the sofa!). I played Guitar Hero for the first time over Christmas with my brother-in-law and his girls and had a blast. It's just a game. It's supposed to be fun. And like a lot of other things in life, if you take it too seriously or read too much into it, it ceases to be so.
