Hi Folks,I just purchased an Older Trace Elliot Bass Amp,Its in a fancy Wood Grain Cabinet has a single 15 inch speaker 2 seperate input sections with Piezo inputs and an active Bass input. It has a five band EQ with three pin outs on the back and a tuner out. I was told it,s about a hundred watts, but seems louder,I think it,s an acoustic type amp,my Epic sounds real nice through it,and I bought it at a really great price,it could pass as an end table. I don,t know the year of manufacture or model number, was it a custom order? Maybe one of my fellow Alemheads can help me. Bonnie Rose |

Hi Bonnie, I suggest contacting Trace Elliot with this question. They can tell you everything you need to know in much greater detail than anyone here. Here's their web address: http://www.trace-elliot.co.uk/ Good luck! |

Sounds to me like what you've got there is the TA100 acoustic guitar amp that someone removed from its stock 2X8 cabinet and installed in a custom 15" cabinet. The control and output configuration you describe certainly matches--I don't recall there being a bass version. Then again, there's LOTS of things I don't recall...perhaps I should consider a career in politics. |

Hiya Bonnie, Sounds to me like a Trace acoustic amp you have there, The only wooden cabinet combo they made for bass was a special edition valve series called 'the twin' which was a 7 band graphic, silver faced affair with an output of around 100 watts, made in the early 90's. Mind you that's not to say someone didn't strip the covering off of another combo, but as most cabs were made from either marine ply or later MDF, it would be easy to spot. |
