The "Lone Ranger" was a Texas ranger (think cowboy cop) who rode around on a horse called "Silver" with a Native American sidekick named "Tonto", righting wrongs, catching bad guys, and doing good deeds for needy people across the American West. He dressed in fancy cowboy clothes and always wore a mask. When he was finished, he would just ride away and leave a silver bullet behind. Sort of an early super hero without super powers. Clayton Moore played him on the TV show.
