Saw them last night and I was actually glad I went. It was very very different from what I'll usually go see and quite enjoyable. Alison has a fantastic voice that just soared through out the night and she played violin ( I did'nt know she could) beautifully while soloing over the changes with very cool melodies and she's absolutely gorgeous to boot!! Robert did a fine job and had the band work up some pretty cool remakes of "When the levee Breaks", "Black Dog", "Black Country Woman" and my favorite "The Battle of Evermore" which I figured they would do.
All in all it was a great show and since I did not plan on going and opted to get mt ticket the day of the show, I ran across a guy selling one ticket for $30.00 and I was probably 50 feet from Robert and Alison!

Glad you enjoyed the show Adam. I'm jealous as hell as they didn't come anywhere near Scotland on their UK tour. I'm surprised you didn't know Allison plays violin as I'd say that's what she's best known for with AKUS (aside from her awesome voice of course).

Just to pick the fly sh*t out of the pepper, Allison (pant drool) doesn't play violin. She plays fiddle.

When she was a teenager, she won some fiddler's championships. I love her playing; it's an integral part of Union Station's sound.

And the most angelic voice this side of Emmy Lou Harris. What a waste to pair it with Plant.

I can't agree Peter. They set each other off very nicely on the album.
(all depends on your musical preferrences of course).

Gee Peter that's kind of harsh don't you think? You treat the guy like he was in some horribly talentless makeup wearing act.
