It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of an amazing bass player and great friend. Adrian Garcia passed away on June 9th in Las Vegas from cancer.

I can truly say that he was one of my best friends in this world. He was a true gentleman and never met a stranger.

I would have posted sooner, but this news hit me pretty hard.

I met Adrian about 11 years ago on my first business trip with Gallien-Krueger. If I had not had a migraine from the humidity that night, We would never have met. (I went for a walk to get Excedrin, and ended up in a club where he was playing)We have been best friends since.

Adrian had been in Vegas the last few years playing in a few major shows as well as running his own website for basses.

He will be sorely missed and I can't wait to jam with him again at "The Great Gig in The Sky"

My condolences Doc- I lost my father to cancer a little over 2 years ago and I still find myself expecting to see him coming walking through the door when I'm back at my folks house.

I met Adrian at the 2005 NAMM show and we hung out for the better part of one of the days. We'd been talking on the internet for years prior via another forum.

He was one of the most generous and caring people I've ever met. He was a superb musician and an even better person.

Anyone who knew him was aware that this was coming. And it didn't make it any easier when he finally succumbed. It never does. :-(
