Awesome - I want some. What sort of batteries or wiring lights up the LED's?

Hi James! See this thread. By the way, did you get your car fixed?

Jeff; they look great!

Aha - thanks Dave. (hehe, yeah, the car was fixed then broke again, then fixed again under warranty)

OK, knobs I understand, pointer I understand, but toggle cover? How does that work? I wait with baited breath. (That's what I get for eating worms.)

Way Cool Jeff! Can't wait to see them on Scarlet! Please post pics ASAP when you have them mounted. A note of caution: When I turn on the LEDs with a twist, it takes a bit of force so that the set screw gets loose, and also the pot rotates in the body. I've had to tighten the nut holding the pot in the body and also retighten the set screw on the knob a few times now. Roger says a bit of thread locking compound on the pot nut, and on the set screw to keep it tight on the pot shaft. You should also see if the set screw is long enough to sit fully threaded in the brass insert inside the knob. I think I have only one or two threads of the set screw actually inside the brass insert, which is why it loosens up. I sent one knob back to roger to re-seat the brass insert (I would only trust him to do it) and had to wait again to get the knob back. (You think the first wait is long? It's actually quicker for a fix but feels longer by virtue of having it in your hot little hands for a bit and then it's gone again!) I think the best fix is to get a longer set screw that fully engages all the threads of the brass insert. You can get various set screw lengths at a machinist supply store such as Graingers. Good Luck!

the problem with a longer set screw is that if you tighten it too much its gonna distort the shaft and possibly crack it. the shafts are pretty thin from what roger told me. because of the led feature he cannot put in 2 set screws.
i will advise as soon as he gets them to me
