Just got back from Wolf Trap. Stanley, Marcus and Victor were awesome. It was like one big jam session. Nothing but bass. We were sitting dead center row Q. If I were to say anything negative it would be about the spot lights. Victor would walk towards center stage out of the spot light and the light would not follow him. I was dead center row AAA - front row. All I can say is WOW! It wasn't so much of a "3 bass players" show, as 3 master musicians who happen to play bass. A night I'll not soon forget! Aside from playing acoustic bass, Stanley played his Alembic all night...the Spellbinders sat on the rack. I would have bought one of the promo posters for the CD, but they featured the Spellbinder, not Stan's Alembic...what a shame. |
