One day in the very distant future....

Victor Wooten has passed away and been called to Heaven. Upon his arrival he is told that he will receive accomodations commensurate with his life's contributions on Earth. He is taken to a semi-private cloud and presented with a glorious 5 story mansion. In the mansion are furnishings fit for a king. After touring the mansion for a couple hours he arrives at the studio. It's magnificent. Every type of amplifier, cabinet, effect unit and recorder one could imagine and a wall lined with Fodera basses.

After playing non-stop for several days, Victor takes a break and goes out to lounge by the pool. It's at that point that he sees the house next door. This ten story palace dwarfed his 5 story mansion. All the amplifiers, cabinets, effects and such that Victor had, this house had double. And on the wall was a seemingly endless selection of Alembic basses.

Victor pick up his celestial phone and placed a call to God and said "I don't want to seem ungrateful, because everything you've provided for me exceeds my wildest dreams. I do wonder, however, how it is that Stanley Clarke rates having a palace twice as magnificent as mine. Twice as much gear and all those fine Alembics?"

God said "That ain't Stanley's house, that's mine"

Peace,

James
