ok
i was flippin channels yesterday and started watching an officer and a gentlemen, dont ask why but i think i like debrah winger( such a nice jewish girl-lol)
in the famous tie a yellow ribbon dance scene i could swear that bass player is on an alembic
i didnt have the logo on the peg head
but it sure did have a bird tailpiece

Spot on! I too was flipping channels and only had it on long enough to see that the bassist was indeed playing an Alembic. No logo on the peg head, but bird tailpiece in place. Good catch!

No logo, bird tail-piece - could be a Kawai copy.

Craig; I don't think so. The best shot appears at 5:12, and the lower horn and cutaway don't look right. Jeff lays down some nice licks!
