Man,

The family and I just watched James Taylor "Pull Over" last night. What a great concert!!!!
I was truly inspired after watching it. I didn't get to bed until about 2:30am. After they all went to bed, I stayed up and watched and played along with it two more times.
Jimmy Johnson has and always will be one of my all time heroes!!!! He just has a way of putting things right were they belong. Even his solo, which wasn't technically mid-blowing, was just a beautiful piece of playing. I highly recommend this video!!!
Funny thing, my wife even said "Wow! that's a beautiful Alembic". How's that for a wife huh!?!?
Hey Paul TBO, I finally got to spend some quality time with the family, just like we had talked about. It was a beautiful thing!!!

SO!!!! What inspires you????

Peace,
Dino

Brother Paul the fake one,

what you just said inspired me!
However: I'd like to look at that concert once. Is it that one in his barn???
I had one concert on video but I gave it to soemeone to watch. It never came back.
So if I go to the store I ask for "Pull Over"????
I wonder if it is here? You brothers on the othert side are on NTSC.

Hi Brother Paul,

No, its actually a good size concert room. But the sound is amazing. I watched it on DVD surround.
FYI it also has Russ Kunkel on drums, he's the guy that recorded a lot of the old hits!

Paul; here's a link to the DVD at Amazon. The info there indicates it is Region 1 only.

I don't read German; but here's one that looks like Region 2. Does that help?

I agree with Dino, this is a wonderful show and Jimmys tone and touch is pure sweetness. It was recorded in 2002 outside Chicago, and features classic JT tunes plus a few from "October Road", his recent grammy winner.

Inspiration.
The last time I really was sitting and was moved by a concert was when I saw the "Sting concert" in his villa (read: small town) in Tuscany. Correction: I was more moved by the preceding Documentary as by the performance. Of course the influence of "nine eleven" is not denieable. But in general the idea of coming together as musicians and make something happen like that, just like that, nine days in a barn, being creative in a group, outing emotions ... man ...WE (musicians) ARE POWERFULL!
Do you realise that we -if we have good ears and a reaonable heart-mind-fingers coördinationship- we can talk with ANYBODY on this globe??? Musicians make a better world ...!
