Would you look at the detail on this replica of Stanley Clarke's Series I Bass. http://www.axeheaven.com/Products/Stanley-Clarke-Miniature-Guitar-Collectible-328.aspx I'm amazed at the level and attention to detail the maker has gone to in order to represent so accurately this replica of such a legendary bass by a legendary musician.....!!! HAHA HAHA HAHA HAHA HAHA HA I think I've laughed myself a six pack...... Jazzyvee (Message edited by jazzyvee on March 09, 2009) |

I once got one of these that was supposed to be a close replica of Jerry's "Wolf" guitar, the forerunner of the current Alembic "Further". When I got it, it looked suspiciously like a Strat with a Wolf sticker slapped on! Bill, tgo |

It looks like a Moonstone mated with and Alembic, and that this was their unholy spawn. Certainly not the ugliest shaped guitar I have seen, but light years from a Stanley Clarke. |

Well it says they have about 19 in stock....... Looks like they're stuck with 19 of them now. I like the Marcus bass too. I didn't think he used a rosewood fretboard on his Jazz..... |

Don't you recognize it? It's one of those rare Alembics built under license by Danelectro. Peter |

That is so bad. Shouldn't Alembic and Stanley be getting royalties from these people and licensing their right to make the replica? That might help keep the junk that's completely inaccurate off the shelves. |

Alembic should make a full-size replica of that replica...if nothing else it could be a good April(fools) featured custom...Tony |

Someone gave me the Ace Frehely mini Les Paul and I was impressed with the detail on that one. It had the lightning bolt inlays as well. The others I have seen were not so impressive but I would like the Silverburst Les Paul to go with my real one. I still have to get the Jason Newsted action figure that comes with the Black Europa. That was done pretty well for a mini Alembic. You know Alembic should do some limited runs of its instruments in mini form for the club I would buy one of each. How do they dare to describe it with words such as "stunning" and "meticulous details" ??? I suppose that this is the sort of stuff that shows us how special our Alembics are.... No one can reproduce them! |

I would imagine that even if the craftsmen at Alembic had the time to spare for doing miniatures of their instruments, they would still be pretty costly because it would still be labour intensive. |

It looks like a Danelectro bass. which as we all know is the polar opposite of an Alembic bass.

I reckon the person who designed that saw an Alembic from the back of a smoky room.... once..... drunk. |
