I don't know if anyone else is interested, but this album is a collaboration between Dangermouse, Sparklehorse, and David Lynch, with a number of guest musicians (The Flaming Lips, Iggy Pop, Frank Black, Vic Chestnut, and others). You can listen to it free from NPR streaming here:

Thanks, that was fun...a good alternative to my normal cycle of music to listen to while reading.

I'd love to see the accompanying book to see what Lynch had in mind to pair with it.

Me too. It is my understanding that there is currently an art installation featuring his photos set to this album. I don't really know more about it than that, so if anyone is interested, they'll have to find the details.
