American actor David Carradine found dead, hanging by a nylon rope in a hotel room closet in Bangkok, Thailand on June 3, according to a Thai police official. Wow, this news is disturbing. Some reports say suicide and those closest to him say no way. Those of us of a certain age have those strange and uplifting memories of that quaint '70s TV show "Kung Fu." Carradine was an accomplished musician himself. He portrayed folk singer Woody Guthrie in the 1976 film “Bound for Glory.” "If you cannot be a poet, be the poem." -- David Carradine |

The way things are going, I'm expecting his family will pay good money to keep what happened under wraps. |

Kung Fu..oh yes I remember that..that got me into martial arts, got my 2nd degree Black belt in TaeKwonDo but had to give it up due to knee trouble A shame to hear that..I think sucide is the issue here as no one would murder anyone by hanging. Sad news indeed. He was in Kill Bill I & II as well |

I can't help but be reminded of one of many of my favorite scenes from the t.v. show, "The X Files". Agent Mulder is riding in the backseat of a car with the Lone Gunmen, and they are discussing whether or not they would choose to know, if it were possible, the way in which they would die. Mulder says, "I already know how I will die. How?" ask the others. "Auto-erotic asphyxiation" answers Fox, with a smile.................... True, tis sad, but he went happily................. |

"I think sucide is the issue here as no one would murder anyone by hanging" Billie Holliday, for one, begs to differ. I would not put that proposition to any African-American who was alive any time between the 1860s & the 1970s. Hanging is actually a quite common form of murder - though thankfully less so than it was for a long time. Peter |

Lets think.... On the news they said John Entwistle died of natural causes. Only later did we find out he went out in a blaze of glory; a pile of blow and hookers all around. A fitting end for a real rock star. Now, a strange hanging death in Bangkok, Thailand. Hmmm. I'm with jbybj on this one. My advice as a health care professional is: just cause it feels good, don't mean you should do it. |

Does anyone remember the cartoonist Vaughn Bode, who did the Cheech Wizard comics in the National Lampoon in its early years? He checked out the same way. |

The news today says that suicide was not likely. I hope the truth comes out for the sake of David's legacy , not to mention so that those involved are held responsible . |
