Released on 10 November 2003, I ordered this and it arrived on time :-)

A region 2 disc in PAL format, it's great if you're a Who fan - it has a total lack of the guests that featured on the Royal Albert Hall concert and is, in my humble opinion, much better for it.

This DVD features the typically crisp sound of The Who - they have chosen to leave the rough parts in and from my own point of view, the disc is better for it.

There's not much footage of Entwistle (there is a one-to-one interview) but what there is, is definitely worth watching.

I'm not sure about his sound though - a lot of it is indistinct but it's obvious that his playing isn't! There are quite a lot of pops from the Buzzard and overall I felt the bass sound could have been more distinct and louder. In the interview John does say that Roger commented on the volume of the bass so maybe that is why the bass is a little quiet.

Worth buying? Yes and certainly for the Ģ11.99 I paid for it from Amazon UK.

Overall - I enjoyed it enormously but I love The Who so maybe I'm a little biased. Perhaps you should buy it and try it for yourself!

Best,

Hi Rog,
I also got the Vegas Job DVD yesterday but honestly said, I donīt like this one as much
as the Royal Albert Hall DVD.
On this one, the playing of them sounds to me like: Ok Guys, we donīt have no sense in playing now, but we have to play as we got much money for it.
I mean, the playing of Pete as well as the playing of John is very flat.
If you compare the great playing of John on the Albert Hall DVD you will easily see, that he was able to do much much more than on this Vegas Job.

Just my opinion.
Another great video on the Who is:
The Who rocks America. A great concert from 1982 filmed in Canada; Toronto I think.
Here John is still playing his Spyder and with this gig they are joking around and have real playing fun.

Hi Guys,

As any Who freak will tell you, if it's The Who, it's great. Even if it's not so great. I love to see my heroes making mistakes or playing on an uninspired evening. It reminds me that they too put their pants on one leg at a time as I do. I haven't seen this one yet, but now I have two different perspectives to consider when I finally do get the chance to view it.

Any other opinions out there?

Cheers,

Paul TGO,
in every case it is worth seeing it.
I didnīt want to make it that bad.
Honestly said after viewing this particular
one I felt that we all are only human and that
also our heroes may have (had) badder days.
Anyway JOhn is and was my all-time hero and his playing has influenced me very very much.
