Me again!
I am looking for a new effect pedal to use, and I ran into the Moog Bass MuRF that has some cool sounds.
Have you guys ever played with one?

I've never played with the Bass MuRF, but have played with the guitar MuRF (which claimed to be suitable for bass when it originally came on the market). They are interesting pedals, maybe to their own detriment. I found that it was great if you wanted to write music that was intended to be played with it. But it was certainly over the top, and not particularly useful for imitating any familiar sounds (this could be my own lack of skill to blame). I ended up trading mine for an SF-2 from a club member, and have never really missed it.

Hey, Craig. There is a mini(vintage) for sale in Portland, Ore on craigslist. If it is the guy I think it is, he is very solid. I believe he wants around 2500 for it.

Moog is just releasing a new version of the two Murf pedals combined in one with midi in...so, there may be a lot of cheap used Bass Murfs on the market soon. I just sold my regular Murf for pretty cheap.

Kevin, I understand that they are pretty unique sounding... But thats sort of what I'm looking for. I'm looking for some new sounds.
An SF-2 is actually the next big thing on my list.
And thanks for the tip, Hugh.
