It seems like the Gotoh tuners are back to the earlier, more refined style of "ears". Or is it just some NOS finding its way to the more recent COTMs and Erik's walnut SC? |

These were special ordered by us. We prefer the look and function of this version of the tuners, and Gotoh were gracious enough to make them for us. |

The bigredbass was made with Gotohs with this shape button, but they're marked 'Gotoh' instead of the monogrammed 'A'. The smallergreenbass has the 'A' body with the current ear, not the retro one on Erik's axe. Just to stir this up a little more, some of the Yamaha basses have (big) PEARL buttons with the gold bodies. SO . . . Mica can we order the keys? I know better than to ask about buttons-only!
