Fellow club member Barrie Cree (molan) of London, England, was passing through the North Carolina mountains on holiday and stopped here in Asheville this evening for dinner with Art (artswork) and myself. A very enjoyable evening! After I headed back into the hills, Barrie and Art were headed over to Art's house to examine a couple of Alembic bass guitars.

It was kinda spur of the moment Adam; I wasn't sure it was going to happen until today, and the timing only came together later in the day.

It's o.k. as I'm in central Illinois on my way to Chi-town. All the good stuff happens when I'm gone! hahaha!! We gotta get together and jam again though, I had a great time on the first visit.

Well I tried to make this one, but had a full plate that day and 3 hour drive just wouldn't of made it in time.

Big thanks to Art for organising and Dave for recommending the best vegetarian restaurant I've eaten in!

I'm loving the Carolinas so far - staying at the Biltmore Inn for my 50th birthday:-)

Barrie,
You must be referring to the Laughing Seed. It is one of my favorite restaurants also. Rene and I always try to eat at least one meal there when we visit Asheville.

I don't know if you are going to be close during your trip but if you are near Raleigh give me a holler. I'm about 10-15 minutes south of there.

Keith

It's been a busy week! Enjoyed the get together with Dave and our London member Barrie (molan). Yes Keith, it was the Laughing Seed and my first visit there, it was really good. Happy 50th Barrie! Have a wonderful and safe remainder of your journey. Art
