OK - this might be asking a whole lot. Because I don't remember, so why would anyone else.... or maybe it's just the whiskey. Does anyone have a history of when Stanley was on tour (and came through Milwaukee)? Why? Well because I was helping the wife do laundry tonight! The question was asked "When did you get this?" - I have the Stanley Clarke "circa 1976" t-shirt that I am most certain was purchased at one of his shows - my wife thinks that I bought it on-line. Anyone? |

Was it at the PAC? Around the release of School Days? I just checked my ticket stub from the concert, and unfortuantely the date was not on the half that I have, but it was shortly after the release of School Days. Ray Gomez on guitar - on the floor, 4th row center - great show... |

I'm with Tom and think that would be the School Days tour. I can't remember the exact year but I saw Stanley for that tour at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. I would guess late 1976 or early 1977 as I recall having winter coats but I could be a mistaken do to the herb consumed that evening. Keith |

Just checked a pic from the concert - yes, horn section present. I wish he'd have a guitar player with him more often. Other than the New Barbarians fiasco at the Arena, it was the only time I've seen him with one in his band. Pics from the show here: http://alembic.com/club/messages/411/18091.html?1183756945 |

Was that when he had a juggler open up for him (at the PAC)? My brother went to the New Barbarians show, he didn't know it was Stanley- but he told me that I was a fool to not have been at the show because the bass player was killer! :-D Other than Keith and Ronnie being all boozed up was there a problem at that show? |

I don't remember a juggler... In the advertising for the New Barbarians, it was inferred that Mick Jagger was going to be there. When the show ended after the last encore, the crowd kept going. When it was clear that it was over and no Jagger, the crowd basically rioted. They (I just watched in amazement) tore the Arena apart and trashed the place. One of two times I was at a concert in the Arena and the audience rioted. The other time escapes me at the present. Those were the days... |
