Just watched it. It gives me chills to think of what folks went through during the Depression. The folk Singer songwriters -- the real folk singers -- have always been my musical heroes. Woody Guthrie was one of the very best. David Carradine did a nice job also. This was the first time I'd ever seen it all the way through. Thanks for responding Dave! | ||

Dave, Don't forget your local public library as a possible free source for the DVD as well. This film was also one of the first to make use of the Brown Stabilizer (later known as the Steadicam). Mike | ||

If you like Woody (and, obviously, I do), there is a new box set out that is outstanding. Some lady in Brooklyn recently found a stash of metal 78 masters in her basement. These are, by far, the best sounding recordings of Woody I've ever heard. Joe Bob sez "Two Big Thumbs Up"! Bill, tgo |
