I love Alembic Basses but I do not conform to the Alembic guitar sound. It seems too clean for the Blues & Jazz I like. I love gritty tones from solid body guitars with hum-buckers. Any solid examples for blues or Jazz on an Alembic guitar? |

I'd like to find some music recorded with Alembic guitars. I love a clean sound on guitar and alembic gives me that whether its at the bright or mellow end of their range. I have had difficulty in getting a good over driven/gritty sound on my Orion guitar using a pedal but with a tube amp it's much better. With my series I guitar I can get a great variety of overdriven/crunch sounds using my old Proco Rat Pedal or a valve amp. It's horses for courses really. If I was doing a gig where I needed a gritty sound for most of the set I'd pick my Strat and not my Alembic guitar. Jazzyvee |

How about an Alembic Guitar With perhaps an Alembic F-2B with cascaded channels for over drive? Or an Ibanez Tube Screamer ? Over drive with compression is interesting too. Sorry ,___ I am just thinking out loud again . LOL _____. |
