Widespread Panic will be in L.A. for three nights at the Orpheum starting tonight, and then the Fox in Oakland Nov.12th-14th. Worth the price of admission for sure... Jimmy Herring is on fire!

On a side note, I heard the other day that Jimmy Herring was offered Al Dimeola's spot on the Return to Forever tour.. Anyone else hear this?

Not to get too far off track but since Jimmy and Dave Schools have both had appearances in the band . . .

I recently got the new Gov't Mule disc and in my opinion it is one of their best releases in a long time. Woody would be proud!

What I heard was that for the Spring 2008 reunion tour that they wanted Herring to play, but he is under contract to Panic and they could not get their Spring tour dates finalized... I was told this by a friend of mine that works for Widespread Panic.

Kinda hard to imagine they would still call it Return To Forever.

Friday night's show was great! I have to admit, I had the RTF rumor in my head while listening, but Jimmy played great! The setlist and audio samples can be found here. It's so cool to be able to listen to the show again within 24 hours! I ordered both the CD and the mp3 version, so we could listen in the car as we drove around today.

You can also stream all the recent Widespread Panic shows at www.panicstream.com . Glad you had fun! I will be seeing them at the beautiful Murat Theatre in Indianapolis next week and then the NYE run in Atlanta.
