Mica, How about an Alembic calendar of the famous and the not so famous???? Maybe even a book of days. I'm sure the club could supply lots of pics. Just an idea. K. Reynolds |

Mica! Any merch is good merch! You could have little notes besides major holidays. Like.. on this date Guitar Center treated us like crap, on this date Sam Ash treated us like crap, on this date GC starts rumor that Alembic is going out of business, Cowboy BeBop box set released to the USA, In and Out Burger opens in Northern Cali, Danno disgusts many by continually ordering "black" basses. Stuff like that? BTW God bless all Alembicians and may you have a happy, healthy, and safe New Year. And may Congress declare the Wickershams National Treasures. What will you wear to the Kennedy Center? |

Dave T. My son gave us a digital camera for Christmas, and I am still in the learning curve. I hope to have one up soon. As far as our collective night out to the Kennedy Centre goes, I think we should all let Ron and Susan set the tone. Just which cleaners did I leave my Flame Walnut tux at???? |

Merchandize, merchandize, merchandize - having spent the last 5 or 6 years in the digital marketing business and half of that time at a traditional advertizing agency, I must agree that you can never lose when you effectively merchandize. A calendar is an excellent idea and one that can be easily distributed to the many calendar stores located in malls throughout America. You can get an outside firm to handle the whole thing - all you need to do is maintain creative approval. Just a thought from somone that sees $$ in merchandizing. Of course Alembic probably does not need or want the flood of orders that might result from a beautiful wall or desk (or both) calendar. Of course we would not mind if one was created and offered quietly via this forum - I won't tell where I got mine. |

It was a poorly vieled attempt at copying the Japanese model of declaring craftsmen National Treasures. I think the Kennedy Center is a bit more spiffy than the patent office. Will those peanuts be shelled or unshelled? Dry roasted or lovingly sprinkled with glucose? Lark's vomit! Who said anything about Lark's vomit??? Constable Turner ete one of those! I hear Neverland will never be used by MJ again. Perhaps an Alembic Theme park in it's place? Come ride the Fatboy mag lev railway down Cocobolo Lane! Be Careful patrons! We're about to enter Spray Booth land! Put on your respirators! Oh, other dates on the calendar could be "company x copies our neck design", company y states that their basses are just as good once you get past the design flaws. God bless us everyone! |

It's always been a dream to make a spashy cool calendar. I'm working on the art for a Cafepress 2004 calendar and if the sample turns out nice, I'll offer it. Then maybe I can get the splashy cool one for 2005. Dan - u crack me up everyday! I want to add the Coilwinder ride - like the teacups at DL only you sit in a bobbin with pretty magnet wire wrapped all around. Woosh woosh woosh. |
