I was in the Navy with Don in the mid-late '70s. We used to spend quite a bit of time jamming during the mid shifts. Unbeknownst to me, he became quite the session player after he got out of the Navy. He was Michael Jackson's bass player during the Bad Tour and the Dangerous tour, as well as playing with a whole host of people. This has all come as a complete surprise to me, although I do hear what I remember as his style when I see some youtube vids of him. If anyone knows how to contact Don, or could forward this message to him so I could get back in touch, I'd be eternally grateful. (Message edited by trebor on December 11, 2009) |

Jennifer Batten is on Twitter as Mondocongo so you may try to "tweet" her and see if she can get in touch with him for you. Too cool that you know him as he is a smokin' bass player. You could also go to her website and contact her that way. Good luck! |
