Since most of us are interested in smaller, lighter, rigs, I wonder why there's no subwoofer + 2 high-pass cabinet setups. Years ago in the music store, we rigged an IVP (remember those, mossbacks like me?) through a Peavey CS800 into a Peavey TriFex, a small PA cab they made with two cabinets that sat atop regular Atlas mic stands and stored in the vents of the passive subwoofer box. BIG bass for such an unlikely rig. The sub was footlocker sized, the hipass cabs about the size of a motorcycle battery. Wonder why nobody's pursued a similar idea in a dedicated bass guitar application. . . J o e y |
