Hey 12string, have you had the opportunity to directly compare the sounds of your "Prolle" with a Mach 1 or Mach 2? I heard that the Prolle's were more well-rounded and bassy compared to the "ultra twang" of the Mach's.

If the sounds were comparable, I would consider going after a fretted Prolle, but otherwise I think I'll hold out for a fretted Mk1 or Mk2 (which I'm actively searching for, btw).

I have. From my experience the Pro IIe is more bassy than the Mach's i have played and heard. You will be happy with either a Mach or old Pro bass.
