Saw the Doobie Bros.Last night at the University of Missouri where my daughter is in charge of fulfilling Artists contract requirements for meals and refreshments etc. They were very good. Rock n roll lives! Bonus, the bass player was playing a Series 2 Alembic Bass looked like quilted maple with front red leds. Awesome!john

My wife used to have that same job (your daughter works for KBIA, I assume?). She used to be able to get all sorts of free tickets (now she's a chiropractor). It really is a small world sometimes.

Oh wow, KBIA is correct. certainly is a small world. As you wife can appreciate what goes on. My daughter is working there while she goes to Grad. school. I would take in more shows but i live near peoria il and the drive is about 4-1/2 hours. However, heading down for B.B. King in late April.

Funny enough, BB King was one of the free shows I was treated to. It was incredible to see him, but strangely enough, it was his flute player that really impressed me most at the show (Which as a guitar player was needless to say, a surprise).

Columbia is a great town (easily the most interesting city in Missouri, for its size in my opinion). I graduated from MU with a B.A. in Chemistry, and a B.S. in Biochemistry, and now work there in the Environmental Health and Safety department (not to mention having met my wife there, and having married her on campus near Memorial Union). So anyway, you might say I have some fond associations with the school. Best of luck to you and your family.
