This appears to be legit (unlike the Steele-perpetrated hoax of a few years ago) and has been confirmed by at least two other members of Type O Negative. There's also a memorial page up at the Schechter guitars site. Saw TON years ago opening for Queensryche and they were a great band. And IIRC, Peter was playing an Alembic at that time. He will be missed. http://inlog.org/2010/04/15/r-i-p-peter-steele-type-o-negative-1962-2010/ http://www.entertainmentandshowbiz.com/peter-steele-peter-steele-dead-confirmed-by-fellow-bandmate-kenny-hickey-2010041546439 |

It seems like early death of heart failure is getting a lot more common these days. Weird. |

I got a call at 12:30 am today with the news. Very sad and I know that this touches many friends and fans as well as family. A very unique voice and musician who I will miss. If you ever get the opportunity, Susan has some cool Pete stories. The TON family has some of the nicest, most genuine people I've ever met. |

"Do you believe in forever, I don't even believe in tommorow." RIP Peter, thanx for the music! |
