Dennis Hopper, director and co-star of the counter-culture classic "Easy Rider" has passed away following a bout with prostate cancer. He appeared in many other memorable films, including:

Cool Hand Luke
Apocalypse Now
Blue Velvet
Hoosiers
True Romance
and, though not a "classic", a personal favorite: Flashback.

May the Four Winds Blow You Safely Home.

Dennis Hopper was on of those "Cats" that could really get into his acting role so deeply that you were moved emotionally by his performance. ( I know I was ) He will be missed and not forgotten ,

My introduction to Denis Hopper was the slew of nike comercials he did (stanley Talk) around 1995, I was 17-18? He was the nutty sports fanatic that dressed as a ref; maybe he was a ref but I dont think so, seemed more like a nut. "Bad things man.....Bad things." I remember the Bary Sanders one and the Bruce Smith one, I just looked them up on youtube and there are a whole bunch that I never saw. Then I saw Blue Velet..Awsome... Heineken?? F*** that S*** Pabst Blue Ribbon!
