Nice assortment of musicians! I am a little confused by this sentence in the description, though: The addition of virtuoso violinists Alex DePue and Ann Marie Calhoun add a dazzling dimension to Vai's compositions and stage show, delivering fans the unexpected edge they always expect. If it's unexpected, how can they expect it? I've seen lots of youtube of Ann Marie and she's been amazing for a long time. |

Is it me or does this clip make others think they are flashing back to the days of John McLaughlin, Jerry Goodman/Jon Luc-Ponty and the Mahavishnu Orchestra? A friend saw the performance and indicated that in spite of some of Vai's theactrics, the intensity of the playing on this number was present the entire concert. |
