Earlier this evening the thought occurred to me that there are thousands of wonderful books that I will never read; and the same can be said of music. There are so many great musicians out there, and so much great music. I happened upon a video showing performances by Laurence Juber, Muriel Anderson & Phil Keaggy. The Juber piece, a cover of Strawberry Fields, is nice, but then Muriel Anderson really caught my attention. If you don't have time for the whole video, skip ahead to the 3:00 mark. There are places in the piece were she's playing two speed runs at the same time; very impressive stuff. So then I'm looking around to find something else by her and I find something completely different, her Bluegrass Medley, which is very cool. And then, there's this. Music is just so amazing; we live on a pretty cool planet. |
