Val, Mica, Susan:

I share James' good wishes for everyone's return to comfort and good health. You guys work pretty hard. Actually, it's pretty impressive how you work as a team, covering each other as you can. You've kept my order going very smoothly these past weeks despite obviously tough circumstances. I know how hard it is to keep a lot of balls in the air on a good day - Much more challenging when nobody's at full strength and feeling well.

Thanks for all your help and take it easy as much as you can.

James,
insensitive is about the last word I'd use to describe you. You 've always been really nice, like just about everyone here. Plus, being Italian, bantering with friends is in my blood.
I thank you and Bill and everyone else who wished us a speedy recovery.

Got the pictures posted in the announcement area. We're accepting preorders until February 27th, so call up either Valentino or myself at 707 523 2611 to make the arrangements.

Enjoy!

Great news! One question...Moody's generally offers two lengths, Standard (37"-49")and Long (42"-54"). Is this the case with the Alembic straps?? Thanx.........

Yes, we'll have both lengths available, though Ali at Moody thinks the regular length is best for most. The straps are actually the same for both lengths, just the adjustment tail is longer on the "Long" version.

Well ...what can I say.
Very nice indeed.
I guess the other models are "two-color + two materials" (Black/brown, leather/suede)???
I really like the caramel colour of the demo, so ...I guess I'll have to wait!
Congrats to the design and production team.

Paul the bad one

BTW: if I look good at the pictures in the announcement-department ...do I see the shoulder of a Dragonwing peeping up? THAT strap on the Dragonwing ....wew!!!!!!
Huh ...and maybe even the fierce Moder Val-belly LOL

Paul,

Actually, that strap was on the Dragon's Wing, The Dark Prince, and Erin-Oromion when I was there. All three felt comfortable with it...

Brother Ken,

and how is Erin-Oromion doing.
Well ...if it's good on her ...it will definitely look good on Bonnie or one my "until-now-till-secret-project-where-a-little-bit-of-Alembic-is-involved-but-I-can't-tell-you-yet" LOL.
But ...the caramel will do. The nice thing on this leather is that it will get a very nice darker brownish patine over the years!!

Paul,

(Hey I'm supposed to be working...but when I'm home, I'm playing the bass, so...)
Erin-Oromion is phenominal. She looks great on the stand, and plays like a dream. In fact, I don't feel worthy to own something of such craftsmanship. My brother (who's the guitarist in my band) says the band sounds better now with me playing the Alembic. I can't wait for the day to end so I can go play her again...

Well it is not quite on the scale of a new bass, but, the order is in for a new chestnut stap.
Thanks Mica, I will be looking forward to it's arrival.

I ordered a black one today. And I just received my Alembic sweatshirt from Cafepress today. This is starting out to be a pretty good weekend. Now if I can just win the Mega-Millions lottery (215 Million going tonight)...

James, Bill et all

Thanks for the good wishes for our return to good health. You know it's bad when Ron who btw Never gets sick won't read but Mica, what a gal, read the newspaper and technical journals to her dad. He's back in his lab now working away. I'm back at work as well I just can't talk yet, damn laryngitis. I think there are a few people enjoying that aspect at the office. I am reduced to writing notes for the next week.

Boy, I'm glad Val is back in the office- you all know him in the club pretty well but he's great to work with in real life.

You know we all gotta work but is it supposed to be this interesting and fun? I'd give that an enthusiastic yes! Thank you all for making our work fun and appreciated all these years.

Susan: It's my pleasure too. You all do quite a lot to make our experience as customers easy and pleasant (well, FUN!!). What I'm trying to say is that it's working for us (I'll be so bold as to speak for the group. But I think that's a generally safe statement.). Take good care so it works for you. I for one am looking forward to hearing the dulcet tones of your voice once again and to meeting you and others there in April when I'm in sunny CA with my family.

Susan,

I think I speak for many of us here when we say that you, Mica, Ron, Val, Mary and the rest of the crew are like extended family. It's fantastic that you have fun creating our own personal masterpieces and tending to the little zoo you've created here.

Peace,

James

Ron, Susan, Mica, and the entire staff at Alembic:

All I can say is that I'm glad you're all back in good health. You make the best bass guitars on the planet. Period. Not to mention, of course, guitars .. but I digress ...

One of my passions is cooking. Wish I was there to make you some chicken soup when you were ill ... I'd make the stock myself, much like you guys do with instruments .... make the components/parts yourself to guarantee the best quality....

Anyway ...

I'd like to pre-order two Chestnut Leather Straps. Let me know where I need to send the billing info, or who I need to call.

Mica/Val:

Any news yet about the second strap order wave? While I have one of each of the first-wave straps on order, I'm still very interested in the caramel-colored one as well. Please advise.

Kevin
