Hi Folks,

A very good friend of mine, that has a terrific shop, just took in a Spector G-1 guitar. It looks like the kind of instrument we like to see around here. Does anyone know anything about these? I've had a real hard time finding any info at all.

I see that thru a google search that they were made from 75-79. Less than 50 made and original price was 2k.

The angled tailpiece is quite interesting. John, do you know how much your friend is asking?

Thanks guys. Info's a little hard to come by.

Bill, the tail is pretty interesting. It's actually signed by Spector (I believe) on the back of the tailpiece. I was hoping to find out a little more about the guitar before I asked the price. It's a very cool piece but I'm trying to digest my latest round of GAS. If anyone is interested, you would certainly not be stepping on my toes, please contact Peter at:

I'd still love to know more.

Peter is a great guy, I grew up with his kids. I should've recognized those pics of Lowell in the background!!!!

Last time I was up there, he was talking about configuring a pedalboard for a guy with a Further.... I imagine that was you, John?!?

Mike that's AWESOME! I agree 100%, Peter's one of the coolest guys you could know. It had to be me. We finally got it all figured out. Man, come to think of it I don't think I've taken the Further up to Torrington for show and tell. I may need to make a road trip this week :-) Please give me the heads up if you're heading to the Barking Dog, I'd love to meet up!!!

John,

Shoot me an email next time you plan to go, and I'll try to make it. I've got too much stuff going on this week, but I've been meaning to make it up there for a while now....
