Please go to; http://www.musolist.com/slawie/ Have a listen, leave a comment. Horns Keys and Rhythm section recorded on a Fairlight music computer. Vocals and guitars recorded at Atlantis Studios South Melbourne. It is tough being a solo artist cos you have nobody to blame but yourself. slawie (Message edited by slawie on July 21, 2010) |

There is more but Musolist will only allow 2 tracks at a time. I will remove those 2 and post others later. slawie |

Very nice and well crafted songs. I agree that it can be tough writing/recording songs as a solo artist: especially when your main instrument serves more of a rhythm role. You have to constantly remind yourself that the goal is a good song... not (necessarily) a platform for showing-off your chops (that's what guitard players are for!!!). I nearly always go back and re-record my bass tracks with much simplier lines after a song has taken-on its final "form". If you set-up a Facebook page you can share your tracks (best I can tell, unlimited uploads) via several different applications: iLike links to FB by a "Music" tab and Reverb Nation will link by a "My Band" tab. I like Reverb Nation the best. You can actually make a little money (VERY little... I've made about 13 cents) based on the number of "plays" you get. What's a "Fairlight music computer"? |

Nice! "Common Goal" sounded good, I couldn't get the other track to play. MySpace will let you upload up to 10 tracks (if you register as a band/performer). I routinely post tracks from my latest shows there. Mike |

Mike (dadabass2001) try clicking on the next track symbol instead of selecting (Scrolling to)the track. That is the little triangle with the bar thingy. Mike 1762 a link to Wiki about Fairlight. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairlight_CMI Thanks for the positive notes guys. slawie |

I stripped the songs off musolist cos it was causing problems with the tunes messing up. I am setting up a MyFace or Spacebook. slawie |
