I recently came across this bass that looks suspiciously like a 76 clarke i know it was made in the 70's but thats all i can find out about it its plays like a dream has great tone i just wanna get some more history on this particular bass the name on the head stock says johnny pro II has anybody ever heard of this conpany? please help i'm pulling my hair out over this one if you have any knowledge of this bass or know some one who does please answer here or feel free to email me {BASSMAN_172002@YAH00.COM,( YEAH ITS ALL CAPS)

I've never heard of that brand. Is it a neck-through?

yeah its a neck thru and its passive but the electronics cavity in the back is huge like once upon a time there was some serious electronics in it

well the ebay search turned up nothing but the google search ( which was 4 years old lol) did hint at it being german in origin so i guess thats a step closer thanks i want to update the electronics in it but i would hate to devalue it before i know its history as it is obviously a rare bass lol

The pickup looks like just a P pickup , I wonder what the change to an Alembic Activator would be like ? Probably Dynamite!

i dont know yet i'm planning on ripping out the passives and throwing in a 18volt system but i want to find out more about this bass before i do something and devalue it its been so hard to get info on this thing i'm convinced that its a rare bass and might be worth a lot more than the 500 i spent on it
