It's hard to believe 15 years have now passed since I was awakened by a phone call informing me of the passing of Jerry Garcia. I'll pick a tune or two in his memory tonight. "Like a steam locomotive ... rolling down the track" Bill, tgo (Message edited by lbpesq on August 09, 2010) |

He's gone, he's gone and nothing's gonna bring him back. He's gone. But never forgotten. Gonna twist one up tonight and put on some Dark Star! Tonight...I will be the Grateful Live! Right there with you Bill. Miss you Jerry |

I wish I could say it better than Dylan, but I can't, so: "There’s a lot of spaces and advances between The Carter Family, Buddy Holly and say Ornette Coleman, a lot of universes, but he filled them all without being a member of any school. His playing was moody, awesome, sophisticated, hypnotic and subtle. There’s no way to convey the loss. It just digs down really deep." We miss you, Jerry. Peter |
