Because people are so blown away by how good they are, that they figure a series instrument must be nirvana. So many Epic owners become obsessed with upgrading, and need to fund a series purchase. Me, I kept my Epic, and added a Europa. Someday I hope to add a series too.........

I'm a person who loved his 88 Persuader (I kick my butt that I sold it) and loved my SC Standard and in general LOVES Alembics but I didn't enjoy my 5 string Epic. I was very disapointed. Perhaps some others feel the same and it's part of the reason so many are for sale? AND I've no doubt others DO love them and want to upgrade. For me however I sold mine because I didn't feel it lived up to the Alembic promise.
