This may have been asked before, but I'm curious. How many members strong are we? Is there an annual event/gathering?

(Off topic, too)

Go for it, man! Congratulations on memberhood!

(On topic)

I've been reading the Club since last spring. Seems like there was some kind of discussion of an event/gathering, perhaps in CA. If I recall, it wasn't clear whether many would be able to make it. On the other hand, some of our cousins across the seas did actually meet up at one member's home to share experiences compare basses, etc. Sounded like a good time, pictures were posted somewhere around here. Maybe some of those who participated would be willing to comment.

As for me, there's no doubt it would be good to meet some of you folks in person and get to see some spectacular instruments as well. When and how is difficult, but maybe not impossible...

Count me in! I'm ready for a trip to somewhere anyway. San Francisco would be perfect. Or Nahville, or Dallas, or LA, or Miami, or London, or Brussels, or Boston (home of the Drunken Bunnies). Heck, I'd even consider Newark. Naa, scratch that last one.

"Boston (home of the Drunken Bunnies). "

LOL! Our reputation is known around the world!

I would be more than willing to host a gathering here in scenic Woburn MA. :-) That is as long as we can fit everyone..... Beer will flow, food will be consumed, and of course, blackmail pictures will be taken ;)

How about us all seeing a picture of the whole Alembic team?

I don't respond to blackmail pictures unless they're 8X10 color glossies, then I can add them to my scrapbook!

Hmm, it should be early morning for palembic, just about now... do I hear someone approaching, or perhaps a banging of bottles in the distance (no, much too early for that).

Wha-Uh (snore)!!!!!

Did someone say beer, Alembic, Harley, get togethers. Sorry I couldn't hear over all this darn clicking in my head... and my metronome is turned off. We could have a preliminary ANEC meeting very soon.
BTW-Refresh my memory, where did Drunken Bunnies come from? Was I on a bender that week?
HA!!!!

Peace,

ANEC means "Bunnie" in Catalan (spanish/french dialect).
Because in New England lives the Ale-mbic "Home Brewer" -also a Paul- and you all loves a lot of Bee-ah ...New England - Boston - Land of the Drunken Bunnies.

Paul the bad one

Drunken Bunnies = Zatte Konijnen (in Flemish)

Yes, that Boston accent is coming along nicely Paul! I think this weekend I will have to make a script to remove these nasty "r"'s from the posts when I view them. Then I will finally understand what you all are saying!!

Ooops, almost forgot. Pictures!!!!!!We want pictures!!

Brother Paul, I have a new protective device for my head that I have been meaning to send you a picture(see, we really like these things!) of. Perhaps tonight it will mysteriously arrive in your e-mail :-)

Yeah Elzie, you are right. I guess that was more of a Maine accent than a Boston one. See what happens when you grow up on the left coast?

Hey all,

We could do it at my house if you don't mind dealing with a neurotic dog and some overly happy children. Although we could have it down in my basement. OR we could pick a night and meet at a club. The only problem with that is it's hard to talk. I think a private venue would be best. I will be out in LA from the 19th - 30th so it would be great if we can plan around those dates. If not, I totally understand. I think it would be fun!!!

Peace,
