Great pic! I'm surprised to see an EH Bi-filter in a live rig (the two tone blue box next to the LP )....they are real finicky and take some time to dial in. thx for sharing |

I've noticed that "Rock" bands tend to put the backline behind the drummer and "jam" bands put them in front of the drummer (that rack is nearly covering up the drums!!!). Just a random observation... |

Was it me or did anyone else find these Furthur shows a bit on the lame side? The band sounded kinda tired and the setlist choices seemed well disappointing. 1st bank shows earlier in the year were awesome and had me looking forward to Red Rocks, but i didn't even go on Sunday and left early on Sat. The FOH sound was anemic at best also, unless you were in the 1st 10 rows phil was barely audible and not very feelable. They were lacking subs imho and inspiration. John K. seemed off also as he would start a solo and loose it looking for a particular tone on his pedal board. I've heard him destroy it with DSO, why does it seem like he's playing with one arm behind his back? I guess I just miss Jerry. Sorry if i sound overly critical but for the money they are asking for tickets they sounded more like a mediocre Dead cover band with a lot of nice gear. Just my $ .02 ......Bear |

Evidently, the truth IS out there: The secret to the 'PhilTone' is an Eden stack (God Help Us) and a huge wrist sweatband ! ! J o e y |

I want to see him kick his foot up to the top of that stack and work that effects pedal. |

Perhaps he attenuates the settings on this devise via biometric neural sensors that are interfaced to the bluetooth transmitter behind his right ear. You can not see it that well in the photo. |

Getting back to Mike's comment, I've seen a number of jazz bands where the drummer is on the front line, to one side, with the drums angled around to where everyone can see each other. I have a vague recollection of seeing Return to Forever in the seventies where the keys and drums were close to the edge of the stage at either end pretty much facing each other, and the bass and guitar stood back away from the front of the stage so that they formed a semi-circle. I like that setup a lot. Everybody can easily see everybody else. |

That pic is the wallpaper on my laptop, Edwin - but I'd thought BW was off-camera; thanks for mentioning his whereabouts, as I'd somehow missed him. And why didn't a roadie hand him another axe & do the change? I'm embarrassed for my former profession! Peter |
