I used up some gig money that I have been setting aside for awhile and made a bit of a leap of faith. I bought a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 to pair up with my Acme B-2. Simply amazing. My Series I 4 string sounds unbelieveable. The lows are fat and tight, mids and highs sparkle without any harshness. The front end has an AX12 in the pre that lets you dial in nice tube saturation, and hopefully more power than I should need. After a few gigs I hope to be able to retire the Crown power amp. More to come as January is shaping up to be a busy month...

Sounds like a great combination! I've been using an Eden WTX-500 which has a great tone, but not quite enough oomph.

Somehow, I managed to get in some amp time yesterday and today. While looking for sounds I thought that I would hook up my 2 Bag End single 12's. I can not believe the sound, very different from the Acme, but, fantastic sound. While the 3 way box offers a lot of colors, there is something to be said for the full range 12's. Also both look pretty cool with the 9.0 sitting on top. Hugh, I reread that thread, thanks, but I had kind of forgotten about it. Glad you are digging the rig. Still the more I play with it the more I want to get it out in the band setting. Looking foward.....

I'm still loving it. I can't believe the sound coming out of this little combo. It definitely makes jamming and gigging more appealing.

I'm considering one of their single speaker enclosures, though honestly, the 1X12 is shockingly loud. Their 1X10 is something like 16 lbs. That's almost hilarious. Or another 1X12 and create a 2X12 stack. Amazingly, it almost seems like overkill.

Although we have very low key pratices, I had a good chance to hear the new Genz tonight. Killer tone with my B-2. It really seems to give the filters a whole new range of sound. I am thinking of trying the Bag Ends on Friday night as it is a small place with no need to patch into the PA. Should be fun.....
