Time to start planning the next ad. I want to use the same format, but a different instrument and tag line. I'd like to use one of my demo instruments and I'd like club members to help me choose. There are two goals:
1. For players already aware of Alembic: let them know that we are in Oz.
2. For players that have never heard of Alembic: intrigue them sufficiently to check out the web site.

The instrument choices are:
a. Zebrawood Excel
b. Lacewood (Australian silky oak) Essence
c. MK Sig Deluxe (Coco bolo, of course)
d. Spyder 8-string

The Spyder has the wow factor - but might be off-putting to some people looking for a more "straight forward" instrument. What do you think?

Zebrawood is always my first choice. It is just so eye grabbing IMO.
The Spyder would be fine but the 8 strings might be a little intimidating to some.

I'd say go with the MK. You get the artist recognition factor & a fantastic looking instrument with the house wood of Alembic.
Alternatively, I'd say why not 2 instruments? In that case I'd add the Spyder 8 string which also is tied to a famous bass player and looks amazing as well.
