I am a huge fan - can't say enough about the talent and energy he provided. Sad news, indeed.

I'm sad to see this too. He evolved through many very different phases and I have to admit I loved all of them...

Definitely a bummer - I haven't followed his career lately but I enjoyed the BBM album with Jack Bruce & Ginger Baker in BBM and I actually saw him live in Tokyo in around '85 - I had forgotten that!

Sad to hear of the loss to the music scene, yet : another great talent that we will miss. As far as Jack Bruce ! Such a voice , and Bass playing and musical concepts _ WOW _ I take my hat off and bow !

Wow, I was just watching his performance on the Fender Start Pack 50th Anniversary show on cable yesterday. He could really get down and dirty with his playing. Really sad, a great player.

I was told by one of my colleagues as I have been away..sad news indeed.
It mention's Skid Row(not the later USA Skid Row I may add).
I have one of their albums where Gary is a mere 17 years old on it..I think it is called '34 Hours', the time it took to record it, from about 1970 I think, I will dif it out of the attic and scan one of the pics
